Wes McLaughlin has spent more than two decades representing people who were never supposed to win: employees fired unlawfully, tenants evicted illegally, families whose life insurance claims were denied, and consumers cheated by businesses that assumed no one would push back.
Wes founded Sound Point Legal to do one thing well — represent Washington individuals and small businesses against corporations, employers, landlords, insurance companies, and government agencies. Before founding the firm, he built and led a Tacoma litigation practice, where he handled personal injury, insurance, and consumer cases and litigated against some of the largest insurers and employers in the country, including in federal court.
Wes’s approach is direct: every potential client gets a straight answer about where they stand, and every accepted case gets senior-attorney attention from intake through resolution. Sound Point Legal is a modern, technology-forward practice — consultations and representation are available remotely, statewide, by design.
Away from the practice, Wes runs a working farm in Hawai‘i, growing coffee, among other things. The farming background is more relevant than it sounds: it informs his work on property, land-use, and agricultural disputes, and it keeps the practice grounded in the practical problems real people bring to a lawyer.
